This photo is making me hungry! I may try this out very soon. I’m going to try it with low fat cream cheese and maybe low fat/sodium soup and see how it turns out!

Does the chicken come apart in the crockpot? In the picture it looks shredded?
Reply
Seb says
See bullet point #6:
“Note: At the 3 hour mark, I did open up the crockpot to shred the chicken up a bit and stir.”
🙂Reply
Sippy Cup Mom says
Yes, about 3 hours in I shredded the chicken a bit!

This might sound dumb, but is it 18oz or cream cheese or 1(one) 8oz of cream cheese?
Also, what quantity is the pack of italian seasoning?
Same question for the box of pastas. I found many sizes of boxes 😉
Reply
Sippy Cup Mom says
I used a 12 oz. box of rotini noodles and just an 8 ounce bar of cream cheese. I also just used one pack of the italian seasoning! Not dumb, I should have clarified!
Reply
Seb says
Hello, thanks for you follow up. I’m still confused about the noodles. Pastas are not measured in ounces (at least not on my box haha), and if I check my measuring cup, 12oz equals to about 1½ cup… which doesn’t seem enough pasta to go along with 4 chicken breast.
Any idea on what I might not understand? lolReply
Sippy Cup Mom says
Here’s a link to a similar pasta I buy. At the bottom, it says 12 oz. Sometimes I buy 16 oz boxes. Basically, I make a whole box of pasta for this recipe!
Reply
Seb says
Link didn’t follow, sorry 🙁
I’ve added about half a box, and I think I might have about half and half ratio of chicken and pasta. Next time I’ll add the entire box 🙂 That would be 454g for those keeping notes 😉
