It’s baffling how bad the nfl is atm.
With a win in week two and today, NE - a putrid team - would be 3-2. It’s not even a stretch. There are bad teams out there. And, sadly, here.
When was it not the case that a 1-4 team would be 3-2 if they won instead of lost twice?

Gkad Bill is gone. Even if they go 0-100.
The team sucks b/o that arrogant jerk
They had 80 million to address issues across the team, Wolf failed. He failed so bad they’re scared to play Maye.
But you’re right, Bill is gone, left a bad roster behind, but nothing was done but bring the exact roster back.

Mayo is the softie that players like, that also lessens objective accountability. Which is why this is SO sloppy.
He literally defends JB being tough and playing hard - instead of what BB would do - admit it's not good enough.

Are we allowed to talk about the incredibly poor coaching? About 10 penalties. Can't stop the LOLphins on the winning drive when everyone knew they were going to run. Lousy offense, lousy defense. But the excuses still exist. BB left the cupboard bare, too many injuries, it is the schedule, etc.....
The talent sucks, but the coaching sucks too.

Held then to 15 points without the offensive giving you any time to rest. Defense did pretty good against a weak offense
The Patriots offense meanwhile…
193 rushing yards
372 total yards
24 first downs.
The score was only low because they kept shooting themselves in the foot and they have a terrible qb

I probably wouldve traded down from 3 in the draft. I wasnt sold on Maye. This teams needs a TON of talent. We will get it eventually.
They drafted their needs, they can’t even try getting the ball to the the WR.
Maye could be the next Drew Brees, he could also be Bo Nix

The distinction that Blandino made between a toe tap/drag and a normal step seems like nonsense to me. Polk intended to get his toes down on the second foot, which sounds like what a player does when he toe taps.
It gets old to call for Maye after every loss, but I will keep doing it.
Yes, the o line is awful, but the play calling isn’t doing the team any favors. The team barely ever calls a roll/sprint out which certainly contributes to Jacoby being a sitting duck on passing plays. Also, the amount of 5 wide sets do not seem like a good way to keep your qb clean unless he’s getting the ball out quick and Jacoby’s release isn’t that quick.
I’m not sure if this is true but it does seem like a lot of the pass plays the defense gives up come when the team is in zone. They need to clean their zone coverage up and/or call zone less.

Heehee. You are indeed on the ball.
Rephrasing : it’s stunning that a team with a legitimate shot at 3-2 can be this putrid. I marvel at the fact they even won once.

Maye is not a savior. For those who think bringing him in will nake the results any better you are delusional.
He is better than Brissett but he is no Jayden Daniels.

Most bad teams lose their close games. Few teams get blown out every week

People were calling for Bills head, excited about the Packer way, how’s the Packer way treating ya?
Can we acknowledge Bill needed to go without it being an endorsement of whoever the replacement was.

Didn’t we always compliment this team on the “bend don’t break” mentality? I don’t think the defense deserves props but they certainly weren’t the problem
You score ten points you should lose every time

I would have more respect for him if he at least have the ball to play Maye! He is the best player they got
You're going to get your wish next game, I think. I wonder if Mayo will help carry him off on the stretcher. He's a player's coach!

That TD that was not. Was it a bad throw or a bad catch?
Bad throw. Brissett sailed it when it was an easy TD.

Having 80 million to spend is meaningless if no good players will sign because roster is horrible.
BB caused the death spiral
Wolf has made it worse
Mayo is not to blame but was not the right pick for coach

Mayo just talks about getting better every week. They're getting worse - on O and D.
The OL looked a lot better. They can't be blamed for JB's skittish Bambi back there.
They ran decently. But the pass game is a joke, and it won't get better until they pull their heads out of their holes and play Maye.
